University Avenue Closed May 7-8 for Rail Crossing Work

University Avenue will be closed May 7 – 8 during a project to repair the railroad crossing between Pine Street and Maple Street. The project by the Texas Department of Transportation involves the re-planking of the Georgetown Rail Road crossing on University Avenue.

All through-traffic on University Avenue/Texas 29 will be detoured to Farm-to-Market 1460 via Austin Avenue and Inner Loop Road during the construction project.

Local traffic will be detoured to 15th Street via Pine Street and Maple Street.
