State of the City 2024

Save the date: 5-8 p.m. Thursday, March 21

5-6 p.m. Open house at City Hall, 808 Martin Luther King Jr. St.

Residents will have a chance to explore City Hall and meet with City staff and consultants to learn about City departments, as well as to provide feedback on a variety of City projects and plans underway in 2024.

Residents who visit most of the booths and engagement opportunities during this open house will be entered into a drawing for baskets full of Georgetown goodies. Refreshments will be available.

• • Transportation projects, including 2021 mobility bond projects, Williams Drive, and Austin Avenue
  • Water projects and conservation resources
  • Downtown Master Plan
  • Unified Development Code update
  • Transit Development Plan
  • Public Safety
  • Parks and Recreation
  • Georgetown Public Library
  • Environmental Services

6:15-8 p.m. State of the City address in Council Chambers, 510 W. Ninth St.

The address also will be live-streamed on Channel 10 and Facebook Live. After the presentation, residents will be able to ask questions in person and on the Facebook video. Questions also can be sent in advance of and during the event via email to pio@georgetown.org.
