City Board and Commission Applications Now Open

Jul 5, 2024

The City of Georgetown is currently recruiting highly qualified and dedicated individuals to serve on one of the City’s 15 available Advisory Boards or Commissions.  The City Council depends on these citizen board members to assist in evaluating local issues which enrich, develop and promote the community.

Each appointed member is asked to serve a two year term and terms are staggered by year.  This summer, we need 60 seats filled, by new appointments and re-appointments.

Individuals interested in serving as a board member must complete an application which is now open and being accepted online at http://georgetown.org/boardscommissions/.  Applications are accepted through July 28th.  The Mayor and Council will review applications in early August and appointments will be made at the August 27th Council meeting.  Appointment terms begin October 1.
