The following ordinances are on the agenda for consideration at the regular City Council meeting of March 14, 2023.  Please see the agenda packet here for more information.

First Readings

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas adding Chapter 1.15 to the City of Georgetown Code of Ordinances and amending Chapters 13.15 and 13.16 of the City of Georgetown Code of Ordinances; repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; making such other findings and provisions related to the subjects; establishing penalties; including a severability clause; and declaring an effective date.

An Ordinance of the City of Georgetown amending Chapter 6.26 of the Code of Ordinances eliminating the sunset provision; providing for a penalty; providing for a severability clause; providing for publication; and setting an effective date.

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, amending part of the Official Zoning Map to rezone 0.201 acres in the South San Gabriel Urban Renewal Addition, Block M, Lot 2, located at 505 W. 8th Street, from the General Commercial (C-3) zoning district to the Residential Single-Family (RS) zoning district; repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, amending part of the Official Zoning Map to rezone 0.158 acres in the Shell Addition, NW Corner of Block 20, located at 401 S. College Street, from the Residential Single-Family (RS) zoning district to the Two-Family (TF) zoning district; repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, providing for the extension of certain boundary limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas, and the annexation and initial zoning designation of High Density Multifamily (MF-2) of certain territory consisting of 20.68 acres, more or less, in the John Berry Survey Abstract No. 51 and portions of right-of-way on Market Street, as described herein; repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, providing for the extension of certain boundary limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas, and the annexation and initial zoning designation of General Commercial (C-3) of certain territory consisting of 1.061 acres, more or less, out of Lot 1 Lakewood Drive Subdivision Cabinet CC, Slide 297, as described herein; repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.

Second Readings

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, granting a Special Use Permit for the specific uses of “Automobile Repair and Service, General” within the General Commercial (C-3) zoning district, for the property located at approximately 235 feet east of the intersection of FM 1460 and Westinghouse, bearing the legal description of 1.3713 Acres in the Joseph Robertson Survey, Abstract No. 545; repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.

An Ordinance of the City of Georgetown, Texas adopting Chapter 8.40 of the Code of Ordinances relating to establishing minimum standards of care for youth recreation programs; providing a severability clause; repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; and establishing an effective date.
