Proposed Ordinances for consideration at the September 27, 2022 City Council Meeting

The following ordinances are on the agenda for consideration at the regular City Council meeting of September 27, 2022.  Please see the agenda packet here for more information.

First Readings

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, amending part of the Official Zoning Map to rezone 16.898 acres in the John Berry Survey, Abstract 51, generally located FM 971 and SH 130, from the High-Density Multi-Family (MF-2) zoning district to the Residential Single-Family (RS) zoning district repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.

An Ordinance amending Chapter 8.08 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Georgetown to impose liability upon property owners, residents, and social hosts for violating the City’s Fireworks Ordinance; providing for a severability clause; providing for a penalty pursuant to Chapter 1.08 of the Code of ordinances and Resolutions; providing for publication and setting an effective date.

Second Readings

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, amending part of the Official Zoning Map for approximately 768.9 acres within the Frederick Foy and Lewis Dyches Surveys, generally located  north of Berry Creek  bound by Ronald Reagan Boulevard, County Road 245 and Williams Drive to amend the existing Sun City Texas, Somerset Planned Unit Development (PUD), to  convert 6.4 acres of the project from Residential/Golf to Amenity Center; repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas amending Section 13.04.180, titled “Rates and Charges – Solid Waste Disposal – Schedule,” of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Georgetown; repealing conflicting Ordinances and Resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas amending Ordinance No. 900404, entitled “An Ordinance adopting a utility extension and improvement policy to guide the planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of all utility system improvements,” regarding the placement of water utility facilities in rights-of-way or public utility easements in the City’s extraterritorial jurisdiction; repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.
