Proposed Ordinances for June 14, 2022 Council Meeting

The following ordinances are on the agenda for consideration at the regular City Council meeting of June 14, 2022.  Please see the agenda packet here for more information.

First Readings

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas establishing the value of the exemption from Ad Valorem Taxes for a percentage of the appraised value of residential homesteads; repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and setting an effective date.

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, amending part of the Official Zoning Map to rezone 44.870 acres in the John Berry Survey, Abstract 51, generally located 350 State Highway 195, from the Agriculture (AG) zoning district to the Low-Density Multi-Family (MF-1) zoning district; repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, amending part of the Official Zoning Map to rezone 486.3 acres out of the Burrell Eaves Survey Abstract 216 and Lemuel Walters Survey Abstract 653, generally located at 4565 Hwy 195, from the Residential Single Family (RS), Low Density Multi-family 1 (MF-1), and Local Commercial (C1) zoning district to a Planned Unit Development District (PUD) with base zoning of General Commercial (C-3), Local Commercial (C-1), Residential (RS), Low Density Multifamily (MF-1), and High Density Multi-Family (MF-2) zoning districts repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, amending part of the Official Zoning Map to zone a 28-acre tract of land out of the Lewis J. Dyches Survey 2 Abstract No. 180, the Frances A Hudson Survey Abstract No. 295 and the William Addison Survey Abstract 21, to the Public Facility (PF) zoning district and to annex a portion of right-of-way of FM1460; approximately 20.19-acres of the subject property being a rezoning from Industrial (IN) and Business Park (BP) and approximately 7.81-acres of the subject property being initially zoned to the Public Facility (PF) zoning district, upon annexation, for the property generally located 2,700 feet south of SE Inner Loop with a portion of the tract adjacent to FM 1460 as described herein; repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.

Second Readings:

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, amending Chapter 12.09 of the Code of Ordinances entitled “License allowing abutting landowners to place certain structures and facilities in the Public Right-of-Way or Easements with a License to Encroach” and the terms thereof; providing for a penalty, repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.
