Warrant Round-up is underway

The 2017 Statewide Warrant Round-up is currently underway. Starting on Feb. 25, more than 300 law enforcement agencies in Texas will concentrate their efforts to find those with outstanding arrest warrants. Warrant Round-up is an annual multi-agency effort involving local law enforcement agencies in Texas. Law enforcement officers will be going to residences and workplaces to serve arrest warrants. Those with outstanding warrants should act immediately to avoid going to jail.

To make a payment on an outstanding class C misdemeanor offense in Georgetown, go to the Municipal Court located at 101 E. Seventh Street. The court accepts cash (in person only), money orders, cashier checks, Visa, Discover, and MasterCard. Personal checks are not accepted. To contact Municipal Court by phone, call (512) 930-3625.

If you are indigent or otherwise unable to pay your fine and court costs, you may qualify to resolve your case by other options.

Hours for Municipal Court are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday and 8 a.m. to noon on Thursday.

In addition to regular weekday hours, Municipal Court will have special Saturday hours from 8 a.m. to noon on March 4. Those who wish to resolve their case(s) and avoid arrest can come to the court at that time.

You also may appear during open court hours on Wednesday mornings if you wish to speak with the municipal judge about your warrant. You must check in prior to 9 a.m. on a Wednesday.

Payments can be made online at any time using a credit card through the City’s web site at court.georgetown.org/paying-fines.
