Voter Registration Deadline April 9

The last day to register to vote for the upcoming May election is Thursday, April 9. A ballot item for Transportation Bonds and an election in District 5 are on the ballot in Georgetown.

Transportation Bond Election

A proposal for Georgetown voters would authorize $105 million in bonds to fund transportation projects over 10 years. Funding would be in three categories: build, design, and plan.

Projects would address five key transportation objectives: north-south mobility, east-west mobility, central core mobility, sidewalks and ADA accessibility, and intersection and safety improvements. Details and a map of proposed projects can be seen at bonds.georgetown.org.

District 5 Election

Ty Gipson and Paul Nadeau are candidates for District 5 in the May Georgetown City Council election. Anna Eby is unopposed for District 1.

Voter Registration

Voter registration forms are available at the Williamson County Elections office, Williamson County Inner Loop Annex, 301 SE Inner Loop or at Georgetown City Hall, 113 E. Eighth Street or at the Georgetown Public Library, 402 E. Eighth Street or at any post office. Completed registration forms should be returned to the Williamson County Elections office. An online form may be downloaded at wilco.org/elections. Voter registration forms also may be mailed to Williamson County Elections, P.O. Box 209, Georgetown, TX, 78627.

Voting Information

Early in-person voting is April 27 through May 5. Election Day is May 9. The last day to register to vote is April 9. For polling places, dates, and hours, go to wilco.org/elections.

During Early Voting, cast a ballot at any early voting location in Williamson County. On Election Day, cast a ballot at any Vote Center in Williamson County. Avoid long lines on Election Day by going to wilco.org/electionsto find one of six Vote Center locations in Georgetown or one of 26 Vote Center locations in Williamson County.
