City of Georgetown offices are closed on the following days in 2024:

    • Public Safety Operations and Training Center, Police Records and Fire Support Services offices, 3500 D.B. Wood Road
    • Visitors Center, 103 W Seventh St.

Swimming Pools

The City’s outdoor swimming pools will open for the summer season on Memorial Day weekend and will be open through mid-August. Pool hours and other information can be found on the Aquatics page at parks.georgetown.org.

Solid Waste and Recycling Collection

There will be normal solid waste and recycling collection on holidays for Texas Disposal Systems customers in the City of Georgetown, with the exception of the following holidays. There is no solid waste or recycling pickup on these days:

  • Jan. 1 (Monday) New Year’s Day
  • Nov. 28 (Thursday) Thanksgiving Day
  • Dec. 25 (Wednesday) Christmas Day

For customers with pickup days on or after these holidays, solid waste pickup will slide one day for the remainder of that week.

Solid waste and recycling collection carts should be placed at the curb by 7 a.m. on pickup day. For questions about solid waste collection, call Texas Disposal Systems at 512-930-1715.

GoGeo paratransit bus service

There is no GoGeo paratransit bus service on these days:

  • Jan. 1 (Monday) New Year’s holiday
