2007/08 Capital Improvement Projects

The City's long range planning process includes guidance from the City's comprehensive strategic plan called the Georgetown Century Plan. The Century Plan was created by a broad based group of Georgetown citizens, elected and appointed officials and staff during the late 1980's.

The plan documents and formalizes the goals and processes by which Georgetown will strive to enhance its quality of life. Its foundation is the City's mission statement and a set of 17 policy statements, which are updated at least once every five years. The Plan is further defined through periodic updates and through the development of Functional Plan Elements that address the 17 policy statements. On May 31, 2007, the 2007/08 Capital Improvement Plan was presented to Council. The plan will be adopted with the budget adoption in September.
