Proposed Ordinances for consideration at the August 23, 2022 City Council Meeting

The following ordinances are on the agenda for consideration at the regular City Council meeting of August 23, 2022.  Please see the agenda packet here for more information.

First Readings

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, amending part of the Official Zoning Map to rezone a 12.695-acre tract and a 2.041 acre tract in the Nicholas Porter Subdivision Abstract No. 497, generally located at 1313 Williams Drive, from the Residential Single Family (RS) zoning district to a Planned Unit Development District (PUD) with a base zoning of General Commercial (C-3) zoning district and High Density Multi-Family (MF-2) zoning district repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, conditionally granting a Special Use Permit for the specific use of “Fuel Sales” within the Local Commercial (C-1) zoning district, for the property located at 1910 Northeast Inner Loop, bearing the legal description of Lot 2, Amended Plat of Katy School Subdivision; repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, providing for the extension of certain boundary limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas, and the annexation of certain territory consisting of 54.527 acres, more or less, in the Lewis J. Dyches Survey 2 Abstract No. 180 and the Frances A Hudson Survey Abstract No. 295, including approximately 26.527 acres of right-of-way of FM 1460; repealing Ordinance No. 2022-49; amending part of the Official Zoning Map to rezone 20.19 acres out of the Lewis J. Dyches Survey 2 Abstract No. 180 to the Public Facility (PF) zoning district; amending the Official Zoning Map to zone 7.81 acres out of the Lewis J. Dyches Survey 2 Abstract No. 180 and the Frances A. Hudson Survey, Abstract No. 295 to the Public Facility (PF) zoning, upon annexation; repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.

First and Final Reading: Ordinance authorizing the issuance of City of Georgetown, Texas Limited Tax Note, Series 2022; levying an ad valorem tax in support of the note; awarding the sale of the note; and authorizing other matters related to the issuance of the note.

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, adopting the annual budget for the ensuing fiscal year beginning October 1, 2022, and ending September 30, 2023, in accordance with Chapter 102, Local Government Code; appropriating the various amounts thereof; Repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.

An Ordinance levying a tax rate for the City of Georgetown, Texas, for the tax year 2022; providing a severability clause; and setting an effective date.

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas relating to the classifications and number of positions for all City of Georgetown fire fighters and police officers pursuant to Chapter 143 of the Texas Local Government Code pertaining to Civil Service; repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict therewith; providing a severability clause; finding and determining that the meetings at which the ordinance is passed are open to the public as required by law; and providing for an effective date.

An Ordinance of the City of Georgetown, Texas revising the existing Chapter 3.01 pertaining to Personnel Policies by amending Sections 3.01.310 “Vacations”, and Section 3.01.312 “Holidays”; authorizing and directing the administrative adoption of an amended personnel manual that is consistent with the terms of this ordinance; providing a conflict clause and severability clause; and setting an effective date.

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, amending Section 13.04.120 title “Rates and Charges – Water – Schedule” of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Georgetown Texas; repealing conflicting ordinances and resolution; providing a severability clause; providing for publication; and setting an effective date.

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, amending Section 13.04.140 titled “Rates and Charges – Sewers – Schedule” of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Georgetown, Texas; repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; providing a severability clause; providing for publication; and setting an effective date.

Second Readings

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas adding Chapter 2.120, Titled “Water Capital Improvements Advisory Committee” to the Code of Ordinances of the City of Georgetown relating to the establishment of a Capital Improvements Advisory Committee; repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.

An Ordinance approving and adopting the Final 2022 O&M Service Plan Update, and the Final 2022 Assessment Roll (to be kept on file with the City Secretary); establishing classifications for the apportionment of costs and the methods of assessing special assessments for the services and improvements to property in the Georgetown Village Public Improvement District No. 1; closing the hearing and levying assessments for the cost of certain supplemental services and improvements to be provided in the District during 2023; fixing charges and liens against the property in the District and against owners thereof; providing for the collection of the assessments; and providing for an effective date.

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, amending part of the Official Zoning Map to rezone 51.60 acres out of the William Addison Survey, Abstract No 21, and the Lewis J. Dyches Survey, Abstract 2, generally located at 1951 FM 1460, from the Agriculture (AG) zoning district to a Planned Unit Development District (PUD) with a base zoning of Local Commercial (C-1) zoning district and Low Density Multifamily (MF-1) zoning district repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.
