Proposed Ordinances for consideration at July 12, 2022 City Council Meeting

The following ordinances are on the agenda for consideration at the regular City Council meeting of July 12, 2022.  Please see the agenda packet here for more information.

First Readings

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, granting a Special Use Permit for the specific uses of “Indoor Self-Storage” within the Local Commercial (C-1) zoning district, for the property located at 1301 Northeast Inner loop, bearing the legal description of 7.31 acres in the John Berry Survey, Abstract 51; repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, granting a Special Use Permit for the specific uses of “Indoor Self-Storage” within the Local Commercial (C-1) zoning district, for the property located at 2701 East University Avenue, bearing the legal description of 3.42 acres in the William Addison Survey, Abstract No. 21; repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, providing for the extension of certain boundary limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas, and the annexation and initial zoning designation of Public Facility (PF) of certain territory consisting of 18.522 acres, more or less, in the Joseph Fish Survey Abstract No. 232 and portions of right-of-way on Crocket Garden Road, as described herein; repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, amending part of the Official Zoning Map to rezone 42.50 acres in the John Berry Survey, Abstract 51, generally located at 350 State Highway 195, from the Agriculture (AG) zoning district to 26.072 acres of the Low-Density Multi-Family (MF-1) zoning district and 16.428 acres of the General Commercial (C-3) zoning district, repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.

An Ordinance of the City council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, amending Chapter 5 “Zoning Use Regulations”, of the Unified Development Code (UDC) relative to automotive sales and services; repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas ordering a Special Election to be held on November 8, 2022, for the purpose of seeking voter response to the proposition of “The Reauthorization of the Local Sales and Use Tax in the City Of Georgetown, Texas, at the rate of one-fourth of one percent to continue providing revenue for maintenance and repair of municipal streets;” providing for the City to contract with the Williamson County Elections Administrator to conduct said election; making other provisions relating to the election; and providing an effective date.

Second Readings

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, consenting to the creation of an in-city Municipal Utility District (MUD) to be known as Woodside Municipal Utility District No. 1 and approving a consent agreement and related agreements concerning Woodside Municipal Utility District No. 1, also known locally as the Madison Tract, located in the City of Georgetown, Williamson  County, Texas, and consisting of approximately 486 acres generally situated south of Ronald Reagan Boulevard, east of the Sun City Subdivision, and north of the Shady Oaks Subdivision; repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, amending part of the Official Zoning Map to rezone 486.3 acres out of the Burrell Eaves Survey Abstract 216 and Lemuel Walters Survey Abstract 653, generally located at 4565 Hwy 195, from the Residential Single Family (RS), High Density Multi-family (MF-2), and Local Commercial (C1) zoning district to a Planned Unit Development District (PUD) with base zoning of General Commercial (C-3), Local Commercial (C-1), Residential (RS), Low Density Multifamily (MF-1), and High Density Multi-Family (MF-2) zoning districts repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.
