Proposed Ordinances for April 12, 2022 Council Meeting

The following ordinances are on the agenda for consideration at the regular City Council meeting of April 12, 2022.  Please see the agenda packet here for more information.

FIRST READINGS

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, granting a Special Use Permit for an “Accessory Dwelling Unit” within the Residential Single-Family (RS) zoning district, for the property located at 1808 Knight Street , bearing the legal description of Lot 3 and 4, Block 5 Eubank Addition; repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, amending part of the Official Zoning Map to rezone 5.5 acres in the Antonio Manchaca Survey, Abstract No. 421, generally located at generally located at the southwest corner of the IH-35 frontage road and CR 143, from the General Commercial (C-3) zoning district to the Planned Unit Development (PUD) zoning district with base zoning of General Commercial (C-3); repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, providing for the extension of certain boundary limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas, and the annexation and initial zoning designation of Industrial of certain territory consisting of 5.815 acres, more or less, in the L.J. Dyches Survey Abstract no. 180 and portions of right-of-way on Rabbit Hill Road, as described herein; repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas amending Chapter 2.48, titled “Planning and Zoning Commission” of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Georgetown relating to membership and qualification requirements; repealing conflicting Ordinances and Resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas amending Ordinance No. 2019-50 relating to approvals, processing, and requirements for plats and plans pursuant to Chapter 212 of the Local Government Code; repealing conflicting Ordinances and Resolutions; making such other findings and provisions related to the subject; and declaring an effective date.

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, amending Chapter 13.04.018 Section B related to metering practices for net energy metering of distributed energy resources; repealing conflicting Ordinances and Resolutions; providing a severability clause; providing for publication; and establishing an effective date.

Second Readings

An Ordinance of the City of Georgetown adding Chapter 6.26 of the Code of Ordinances authorizing the operation of pedicabs within the City; providing for a penalty pursuant to Chapter 1.08 of the Code of Ordinances and Resolutions; providing for a severability clause; providing for publication and setting an effective date; and providing a sunset date.

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, granting a Special Use Permit for the specific uses of “Indoor Self-Storage” within the Local Commercial (C-1) zoning district, for the property located at 4402 Williams Drive, bearing the legal description of Lot 5-B1 of Amend Plat of Lot 5-A and 5-B, Eckerd’s at Cedar Breaks Subdivision and Lot 6-A of Eckerd’s Cedar Breaks Subdivision; repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.
