Proposed Ordinances for March 8, 2022 Regular Council Meeting

The following ordinances are on the agenda for consideration at the regular City Council meeting of March 8, 2022.  Please see the agenda packet for more information.

First Readings

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas authorizing the City Manager to execute the long-form confirmation under $50,000 and contracts for the sale of renewable energy credits; repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, amending Section 1.12.060 of the Code of Ordinances relating to the adoption of an update to the Land Use Element of the 2030 Comprehensive Plan to include the San Jose and TRG Neighborhood Plans in accordance with Article 1, Section 1.08 of the Georgetown City Charter and Functional Elements Thereof; repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, amending part of the Official Zoning Map to rezone 9.570-acre tract of land out of the J. Berry Survey, Abstract No. 51, generally located at 201 Lazy Road, from the Agriculture zoning district to Industrial zoning district; repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.

Second Readings

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, granting a Special Use Permit for the specific use of a “Automobile Rental/Leasing” facility within the General Commercial (C-3) zoning district, for the property located at 930 N. Austin Avenue, bearing the legal description of Lot 1, Southwestern Plaza Subdivision; repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, amending part of the Official Zoning Map to rezone 35.00 acres out of the David Wright Survey, Abstract 13, generally located at 5001 Airport Road, from the Planned Unit Development (PUD) zoning district with a base district of Local Commercial (C-1) to the Public Facility (PF) zoning district; repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date

An Ordinance of the City of Georgetown, Texas, adopting Chapter 8.40 of the Code of Ordinances relating to establishing minimum standards of care for youth recreation programs; providing a severability clause; repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; and establishing an effective date.

An Ordinance of the City of Georgetown, Texas amending the 2022 Annual Budget for mid-year obligations that were not known at the time the budget was adopted, appropriating the various amounts thereof, and repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict therewith.

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, providing for the extension of certain boundary limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas, and the annexation and initial zoning designation of Residential Single-Family (RS) of certain territory consisting of 10.00 acres, more or less, in the William Addison Survey Abstract No. 21 as described herein; repealing conflicting ordinances and resolutions; including a severability clause; and establishing an effective date.
