City hosts second annual State of the City event virtually

Jan 14, 2021

The second annual State of the City event will be held virtually from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28.

Residents will be able to join the meeting on Zoom or via Facebook Live to hear from Georgetown Mayor Josh Schroeder and City Manager David Morgan.

The event highlights major projects and programs completed in 2020 and previews what is to come in 2021. City staff will also present information on topics including the historic design guidelines and small area plans, the household hazardous waste program and the transfer station upgrades, Mobility Georgetown Bond 2021, and the police department’s CommUNITY initiative.

Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions during a question-and-answer session at the end of the event or may submit questions prior to the event by email to pio@georgetown.org.

All residents participating in the event will be entered to win one of several prizes, including a one-year family pass to the Georgetown Recreation Center and one-year passes to Garey Park.
