Leander Road and I-35 Closures April 6

Leander Road at I-35 will be closed overnight starting at 8 p.m. on Monday, April 6. Traffic on Leander Road will be detoured to the I-35 access road during the closure from 8 p.m. on Monday, April 6 until 5 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

The I-35 main lanes will be closed in both directions and traffic will be diverted to the access roads during the same time period. Northbound traffic on I-35 will be narrowed from three lanes to one lane between Westinghouse Road and University Avenue. Southbound traffic on I-35 will be narrowed from three lanes to one lane between Williams Drive to SE Inner Loop Road.

This closure is for work to set concrete beams for the new I-35 frontage turnaround bridge at Leander Road.

I-35 entrance and exit ramps also will be closed Monday night. The northbound entrance ramp between Westinghouse Road and SE Inner Loop Road will be closed and southbound entrance ramps between Williams Drive and University Avenue and between University Avenue and Leander Road also will be closed.
